Once you’ve found the elusive dwarf, you can buy a few items with the gold and other treasures you’ve doubtless begun to hoard. All you can do is explore any Black Forest you come across, and hope he is found sooner rather than later. In others, he prefers a more remote lifestyle, camping out on the very edge of the world. In some worlds, you’ll be able to find Haldor setting up shop pretty close to your spawn point, if a Black forest isn’t too far away. However, there is no maximum cap on that distance. Haldor will only spawn at least 1500 meters from the center of the world, or your spawn point.
